Championing Community Legal Access and Consumer Protection
Allison Cecchini Erggelet, Esq., is a passionate advocate for consumer protection and legal accessibility. As a member of the Real Estate Executive Committee with the Alameda County Bar Association, she plays a pivotal role in providing ongoing forums for members to network and stay informed about real estate law. The committee is committed to planning affordable monthly continuing education programs led by experts, ensuring all members receive timely and relevant legal information.
Allison’s dedication to community service is further exemplified by her weekly volunteer work at the Property Transfer Clinic, a partnership with the Alameda County Law Library and Legal Access Alameda, funded by the Alameda County Assessor’s office. The clinic provides free one-on-one phone consultations for homeowners in Alameda County, addressing various property-related issues such as the assessment process, title holding, tax consequences, property transfers, and implications of Prop 19. In addition to these efforts, Allison is a proud member of the Bay Area Legal Incubator (BALI), where she continues her mission to expand legal access. She offers her legal services on a sliding scale, enabling clients from all walks of life to receive the assistance they need. Her commitment to pro bono and low bono work is evident in the over 100 hours she dedicates annually to serving those who might not otherwise afford legal representation.
